Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the formation of the Movement Control Association

The 6th April 2023 marks the 20th Anniversary of the formation of the Movement Control Association (MCA).

The Association combined the members and resources from the Movement Control Officers' Club (MCOC), the Movement Control Historical Society (MCHS) with the Movement Control Warrant Officers' Dinner Club (MCWODC) becoming affiliated to the Association. The idea being to bring together all Movement personnel from all three service into one organisation which hopefully would unite Movers past and present across the Globe.

It took a small working group almost a full year to pull together a plan for the formation of the MCA and draw up the Rules and Objectives.

The Association supports the preservation of movements history through its archive of documents, photographs and artefacts. The content of this archive is available to military historians who wish to research the role of Movement Control.

Aim

Uniting Movers, past and present, across the Globe.

Objectives

  • To enhance the status and professionalism of Movement Controllers past and present while highlighting the importance of their contributions to the Movement Control Trade and Military as a whole.
